Wednesday mornings dawning and there are rumblings down below which indicate our WOOFER guests are stirring. It amazes me every day that they come back for more…and they are still smiling!
Yesterday I had a visit with my surgeon and that visit means the end to my hopes of travelling to England in 10 days. I am not physically fit enough to make the trip at this time, BUT I will get better and my trip will be rescheduled..asap
In our absence, the garden “ants” went back to work and from up here at the house, it looks like I’ve got THE smartest garden in the Pacific NW. Thanks team!! It’s a bit like magic….I leave, the garden fairy arrives and my weeds disappear….I love it!
The equine members of the farm family have started to earn their hay ration and Lady and Charm have been more than a little disconcerted by the frequency of times the dreaded saddle has been hauled out over the past weeks. I’m not sure, but I have a sneaky feeling that Lumpy Lady may just be looking a little more streamlined, our plus size might just transform into a model size petite….NOT !! Greg looked like he was back where he belonged, first on Lady and then on Charm. Charm, an Arab cross Quarter horse has his beauty and attitude from the Arab genes and his fatty ripples from his Quarter horse genes,… underwork and overeating I was amazed and delighted to see first Holly happily riding down the road on Lady and then even more amazed and delighted to see Quatre confidently tripping down the farm road on charm, (beauty with attitude)…and he behaved like an angel. Hopefully not lulling her into a false sense of security….I see the little devil lurking in those deep dark eyes!
Time to go, but Mum J, we will be thinking of you…and you will be beautiful again
