Somebody took out the barn wall ?????

Today has to be dedicated to Quatre, our wonderful, long time, super capable, reliable WOOFER intern. Quatre will take on any challenge, the bigger the challenge, the bigger her smile….yesterday the smile disappeared, the ranch no blame policy came into play and our  Quatre joined the “crunch the barn club”. I’ve done it, Greg has done it ( actually, I think that his story went something like, the tractor did it !!!) and now Quatre has graduated with honours. She didn’t only take out the corner, she annihilated it !!! If you are going to do something, ..do it well, right ??!! Even the morning break brass bell was relocated. Nice one Quatre, …..but no blame!
Greg didn’t let my belief in “Mr. Fixit” down, he managed, reportedly after turning the air blue with words we don’t care to repeat to remove the offending hydraulic hose. The challenge now will be to put it all back together…he will ! I want the yellow dinosaur out of my horse yard and back where it usually sits and rusts.
I  always loved to watch the bald eagles soar above the ranch, I loved to watch them sail through the blue sky  with the sun catching on their gleaming white feathers. I was even in awe watching them swoop onto some unsuspecting prey…until I realized that the unsuspecting prey were my chicken flock. Clearly the coop had become the hottest “eat all you can” diner in the Pacific NW. We very quickly covered the chicken pen and the chicken take away or eat in was closed…but the eagles still soar by to check out..I guess they want to know if the diner is under new management. Sorry guys..but you do look amazing.
The reserve team had a workout yesterday. Good job they had a good and hearty lunch…they needed it. Greg had been given a trailer of lumber… BIG lumber and what goes on the trailer must come off ! Greg Quatre and Ginger managed to move the 12 x 4 and 15 x 4 planks. As Ginger left the house after lunch, clearly the prospect of the proposed afternoons activity was less than inviting..good job Ginger enjoys spinach ! Happily the trailer is now empty and the wood safely stored. Nobody was complaining of sore muscles this morning as we shared a batch of freshly made pancakes. Life is good.
Well, circumstances have made me recognise that it is time that I took steps to obtain my citizenship status, I have been happy and content as a permanent resident but yesterday I took the first steps to investigate the graduation from resident to citizen and I have to say….the test questions blew my mind !! At lunch as the unsuspecting reserve team munched I fired questions at the 3 natural born Americans….OMG…from the look of this I will know more about the American Government history and culture than the average man on the street. I think after this I’ll go for a batchelors degree or maybe even president !
Well, got to go, time to go find out what else I can learn about the beautiful place I am so happy to call home. Take care, keep safe, M

Who took out the barn door, or was it the side wall. Was it the one where the kitchen is? How did that happen?
