I hurt...but I have just got through the 2nd spine surgery in 4 weeks so by all the laws of reasoning, I should expect to hurt, I just have to remember no pain no gain and it will be nice to walk more like a regular homo sapien and less like the hunchback of Notra Dame !
The lambs are coming fast and furious, once the first one pops ( they look like barrage balloons )it is like a green GO signal. It's all keeping Greg on the move, just what he needed with me currently "out of service ". One of the ladies gave us triplets but, sadly the first came with all its parts coming out in the correct order, the remaining two lambs were breach and a leg of each of the lambs were trying to be born..at the same time ! As we all know, if we know little else about lambing ( or any kind of birthing for that matter !!) , the birth canal was not designed for 2 at a time or birthing in the fast lane ! Greg had to re organise the jumble of limbs and torsos from under the mommy ewes tail ! Two of three little balls of fluff made it, but we lost the third, we hate to lose a baby, but at lease we know that we gave it every chance.
Well, I'm banned from exerting myself, sitting too long..standing too long or lying too long and Greg the back police is enforcing the law..to the letter !! I'm off to bed, I can't get in too much trouble there ! Just one last comment, THANK YOU to all the lovely helpers who kept the farm running throughout this "little" health blip, we really do appreciate you so much, we are so lucky and blessed to have you all as friends and neighbors. Thank you also to those who have phoned to cheer me up or just to let me know that we are in your thoughts and prayers, we love you all. Take care, M
