We have sibling rivalry going on, Bran the border collie is struggling with Chance attracting so much attention and if dogs can pout...Bran is pouting. Chance has fully adopted Greg and I as surrogate moms and that little white lamb does "heel" better than any dog I know,!!. She does heel so closely that it's a struggle not to fall over her. I'm confident that if I were to throw a stick for her she would "fetch" !! When we move, she moves and if we move in different directions Chance does what she can to be in two places at one time. Last night she climbed into my lap and fell fast asleep in a heartbeat. During the day she lives with the sheep, that gives her time to become part of the sheep family and time to learn how to play. During the day she, with the other lambs terrorize the ewes, the moms are springboards, trampolines and for the other little terrorists, milky bars. Little Chance doesn't seem to mind that she is "different", occasionally she manages to sneak a crafty little appetizer when her real mom is distracted but is more than happy to inhale a good 8 ounces from the bottle, apparently unconcerned that a sheep mom isn't on the other end of the teat. We managed to remember to buy diapers at the store yesterday....it isn't usually on our shopping list and what size do we buy for a little lamb that pees a storm ? Well.....we didn't get it right (or Greg put it on wrong!!) Chance proved that when she tinkled and a little pee puddle spread accross my kitchen carpet. I have a confession..I have hated that carpet for the longest time and I have a sneaky suspicion that Chances toiletry foibles may just be the deciding factor in getting rid of it !
Time for me to move, I have been sitting for too long and the back police will be on my case. Take care, M
