New Years Day 2011.....it's 7am and on the television every channel is reviewing the past year so I guess I will do the same. The year 2010 was a great year for Gentle Giant Meadows Ranch, in six and a half years we have come a long way. From the first sight of the ranch back in the UK ( Windermere was online) we fell in love with this place, we love it even more now and the friends and neighbors that have loved and supported us through the good times and the not so good. I have won a new Mum, who I share with her wonderful family. I lost my mum before I came to the States and when circumstances brought this lady (whos Texan heart is bigger than her body) into our lives, I felt that my dearest mum was sitting on her shoulder. so many times she says things that are exactly what my mum would have said, she advises chastises and loves us just like my mum and I can talk to her...just as I would have to my mum. Thank you the G family for allowing us to share her and thank you mum J for giving so much of yourself. Both Greg and I have had health "issues" this year and I'm sure that it must be quite a sight to see Greg with his bad back trying to haul me out of bed ...but we are fine once we get going. ....just takes a bit ! My family and Gregs family have, as always been amazing and we'd like to thank them all for the blood sweat and tears shed whilst "visiting" the ranch. This year also brought us out into the community more and we volunteered to Mustard seed, a wonderful organization that is staffed by even more wonderful volunteers. This year also brought new friends that we know will be there for us through the years ahead, thank you for all your love and help. We are embarking on a new year and I'm sure that it will have its highs and its lows but you can be sure that we will be right here on the ranch, call by and spend a while. A stranger is only a friend you do not know. Good luck for the New Year to come, take care . M
