Midnight arrived with a BANG ( lots of bangs!!)

Well, we sure knew Midnight arrived !!!! That beautiful black gelding was quite prepared to let any horses or people in the neighboring 10 states know that he had arrived. Midnight kicked and he kicked and just for good measure, he kicked some more. We sort of solved that issue ( no, we didn't hog tie him...could have done, smile !) the kicking stopped but Midnight wasn't done....he started to paw, I think that horse used all 4 legs to paw..and possibly all at the same time ! We brought Charm in to his stall....Charm, beauty with attitude looked like an angel in comparison..and that is NOT saying Charm is that good ! Midnight can only do short sessions in the pasture, getting Midnight to the pasture for his short session was..um...interesting !Midnight has never been on a farm before, he has never seen or smelt cows sheep goats or chickens and he went into sensory overload ...then the 3 Amigos came out to visit. Daisy May, Lamb Chop and Macho are not the least bit shy and were more than happy to make their introductions to the shell shocked gelding. Bran wasn't too impressed, Bran doesn't do noise and this new black horse that had arrived with so much excitement ( excitement generally translates into something to chase ! nothing can get better than a chase) made far too much noise, Bran retreated to his hiding place in the barn kitchen tail tucked tightly between his legs and general expression of total misery !! Happy to report, before we left the barn, Midnight had settled down, intoductions had gone around the barn, murmered whickers and whinnies passed between stall, Molly Dolly Moo and Rodney the ram in the next stall had said Hi, (anybody is welcome if they dont take their grits) and Midnight had settled down to the seriously important business of eating.

I'm going to have to get going, the cuckoo clock has cuckood, Bran is poised and Greg is on the move. It's raining again and it's cold. DOH !! Take care, get well soon Mum J. M
