Whilst Derek and I took a trip to Tacoma and a side trip to visit a happily surprised mum J, the remainder of the A team set to work on a variety of chores from Gregs “must do” list. Greg was wearing his BOSS t -shirt yesterday, not sure if his intention is to strike fear and trepidation into his happy little team of WOOFER interns…or me, clearly if so, he failed miserably!! Such a happy little bunch. Leslie got back to work wielding the power tools and constructing new feeders for our growing (upwards and outwards!!!) flock of lambs. Today her work of farming art is going to be put into the sheep pen and will be as permanent reminder of her stay as any farm construction could be. Thanks Leslie! Nara and Azam continued to try to find the fruit / vegetable garden which is doing a great job of disguising itself as a bed of weeds !!! Looking down at the garden from the house no longer brings on a panic attack. Thank you both, particularly Azam who bravely managed to soldier on despite the dressings on the fingers he tried unsuccessfully to amputate!
Whilst his little team of helpers successfully got on with chores Greg managed to put the John Deere tractor into the sick tractor ward. Apparently the incident could have been very commercially advantageous…. my swear jar may well have been filled to overflowing as Greg heard the sssssssss as the tractor tyre (English spelling) deflated. Oh dear, I feel a trip to the tractor doctor coming on !!
The team were treated to some horseback riding as a reward ( ?) for all their hard work. As usual, Charm, ( beauty with attitude) tested his rider for both courage and determination, Leslie passed the test but I confess to several moments when I forgot to breathe !…Leslie continued to smile throughout. Derek and Roman continued to cement their relationship and again smiled throughout whilst little Nara riding BIG Lady looked like she had been born on a horse. Tariq…I have a feeling that a horse may be on Nara’s wedding list. Well done everyone.
Well, it’s time for another day, take care, keep safe, M
