Quatre here again. This is Episode 2 of Catching
Up.
Ginger, the new WOOFer down from Alaska, learned to drive
the quad and got some practice on the tractor. She’s learning the
in’s-and-out’s of poop scooping and stall cleaning.
The Hudsons took off for a few days of road tripping and
sight seeing. They were missed! And as soon as they returned, Mal and John got
right back to work. Annie needed a good sleep in—too much time traveling in the
back seat on windy roads. She recovered quick enough and has been back in
action! :)
Yesterday, Nov 8th, was surprisingly warm and sunny! A good
day for work outside.
More logs were trimmed of their branches and cut into
moveable sections for later splitting. John and Mal working like… well hard
workers!
Greg got the tractor hooked up with the large mower to
act as a counter weight while he lifted and moved logs with the bucket. A good
lesson learned about making sure a tractor is well weighted in back when
lifting heavy loads in the front.
Maureen went off for an afternoon check-up. All good! The
evening was finished up with a trip to the store. Maureen and I stayed back to
hold down the fort.
Today so far, no major excitement… yet.
;)
Looking forward,
