Babies, babies and more babies !

QUADS !!! They just kept on coming.! Scruffy was correctly named, she has never looked any different, always just plain down and dirty scruffy, but Scruffy was keeping a big secret from us and yesterday she let us in on her surprise. Inside that grubby, dischevelled rotund ewe, there was, just waiting for the right moment in time, 4 little lambs. Sadly one of her babies wasn't meant to be and was not breathing when she was born but the other 3 look healthy and very active It is hard to imagine where or how Scruffy was able to accomodate 4 bodies growing inside of her, just looking at those babies and remembering where they came from you can't help but wonder at the mystery of creation. At the time of writing, Bandit the barrage balloon still looks like a barrage balloon and is still intent on snaffling any lamb that comes into her line of vision. Her time must be nigh, that ewe is enormous. Walking on little stick legs, that lady in waiting needs to be wearing a red flag and a " CAUTION, WIDE LOAD" sign. There clearly is a considerable benefit to being outsized, Bandit takes up 3 spaces at the feeder, when she plants herself somewhere it would need a backhoe to move her.

Unfortunately for Rodney, he has served his purpose for this year. His hareem no longer needs his services and, regardless of the fact that there is nowhere else he would rather be and no one else he would rather be with, he has been moved and now resides with Molly and Dolly Moo. Rodney the ram is an extremely enthusiastic worker, as CEO of the sheep pen, he puts his heart ( and whatever else he needs ) into every aspect of his work. Rodney the ram works overtime with no complaints, morning noon or night, he is ready and waiting to spring into action. His managerial skills are phenominal, disputes between his "ladies" are rare and the sheep pen is generally calm and serene...until feed time which is generally a free for all ! So, yesterday Dave helped Greg to "persuade" the reluctant randy ram into his new ram- pad. Dave, my angel with a beard, his angel (without a beard), Michelle and my honourary Brit, Brian have been a great help to Greg since my surgery "do" and subsequent surgery "re-do". We are so grateful to you all and sometimes really don't know how we would have coped without you, (we probably wouldn't !!!!). Thanks also to our lovely band of ladies, Heidi, Barb Linda and Robin who pop up like magic whenever help is needed and our family, this side of the ocean and scattered around England and Europe.

Well, despite MJ Fox 13's miserable forecast and Komo 4's even more miserable one, the sky is blue with scattered with litle white fluffy clouds and the sun is shining in on me. Time to move again, walk or bed rest....gosh, so many choices, I'm overwhelmed! enjoy your Saturday, Oh, Greg has promised to add some photos of the new lambs at lunchtime ( that is, should he find time to take lunch ) so check in if you have time Take care, M
