The Shires know it's Springtime too, at the first hint of Spring grass, those two equine giants forget that they are the sumos of the horse world, they adopt the personalities of juvenile delinquents and the athleticism of a Lippizaner. Nostrils flare and tails swish, they bounce around the pasture like 4 year olds on a sugar high, life is good and we love to see them enjoying life and the start of another year here on the ranch.
Update on our little doeling with the gastric "issue", she has recovered fully and we are happy to report normal little goat marbles today. Thank you Jean for your advice in respect of the drencher, fortunately this is an invaluable tool that was in our "tool box" before we ever ventured into our first season of our goat / sheep / cow / adventures and it was in use yesterday, our little doeling may have been under the weather but not short of attitude and despite the miraculous drencher she managed to ensure that Greg shared her dose of Pepto Bismal..
Thanks for the advice though ! Well, time to go, the eggs need washing and tomorrow is another day. Take care, keep safe, M
